But seriously, it seems to work very well, and I think most people would be as happy as I am with this turntable. If you are enticed by the specs (and I think you should be) you should go ahead and go for it—no buyer’s remorse here! **Q: Is the 100C a big step-down from the 1200GR?** A: In terms of the drive system, the marketing specs make them look near identical. The big difference is that the 1200 is for DJ use, so it has pitch controls - very different use case than the 1500 and 100 models, which are for home audio use. The 100 is a step down from the 1500 in that it has no preamp built in, but if you have your own, who needs it?
