The soap is very soft on the skin, and we live in a hard water area, so I was really surprised how the soap felt because of this. This soap lasts and lasts We took it away to the coast for a week, and I found washing underwear, and t shirts, the soap was brilliant also, saves taking washing powder. I am not a chemist but regarding the ingredient table I believe that the olive oil has to go through the process of saponification to create a soap. If this is correct then the finished soap will not contain olive oil as such but instead the constituent elements of the saponification. The lather is good and it leaves your skin soft. A bar lasts a long time, partly because of its size, but it also feels dense and solid and doesn't dissolve as quickly as many other soaps. It smells like citronella which has an unfortunate association with instinct repellent, but on the skin it's just a very faint lemony aroma. It's good soap and good value.
