I only liked writing in pencil. This pencil made my handwriting look better and did not cause as much stress writing for extended periods of time. The grip was and is exceptional.I probably held onto a pencil of this model for 2 years. Yes the design on the barrel over time rubbed off, and yes these mechanical pencils have cartridges that run out of lead. I avoided having to buy cartridges by just carefully pushing in lead through the tip of the pencil repeatedly until the cartridge was once again full. But I continued to love the pencil nonetheless.One unfortunate day, I believe I was signing people up for something and someone kept my pencil. My life was not the same. I tried other mechanical pencils but it was not the same. The grip did not get gunky like other "fancy" Papermate mechanical pencils did (Yes, SHADE). Up until a year ago, every office supplies store, every drugstore, I would check to see if they had this pencil. They did not. And if they did, they had the 0.5 version. Which still was not what I was looking for.It was not until I came across another student using the pencil in my junior year of college that I began looking online for this pencil. I was about to buy them from the office Depot website, when I thought about checking Amazon for it. This was when I was still unfamiliar with Amazon. Have always loved this kind of pencil - very pleased to get a Pentel version ..... although I won't be buying any cartridges for a while!As for delivery ....
