Its compact, portable design makes it easy to carry and set up quickly, offering an affordable, professional-grade training solution for players on the go. ## Description While building, using, and selling portable pitching mounds I noticed two problems that had one simple solution! The first problem is that many young pitchers don't in a straight line towards home plate. They often "land open" which causes all kinds of other problems in their delivery. The second problem is that pitching mounds are large and expensive to ship. To solve these issues I built a pitching mound that has a narrow landing area that folds up into a small box that can be easily carried with one hand! The Step-Straight portable pitching mound offers the same great quality as our youth model. It easy and convenient to fold it up and head to the ball park. So whether you are honing your craft in the back yard, holding a team practice, or warming up in pre-game your mound can be easily set-up in a matter of minutes. They are a great baseball training aid for a young player who is just starting to pitch! See the step straight in action here! Check out our sizing information if you aren't sure which size is right for you. All of our portable pitching mounds are covered in a high quality outdoor carpet that is rolled over the ends to prevent frayed edges. All of the joints are fastened with Pocket hole construction to prevent splitting, We use the industry standard 1" per foot slope. You won't find a better quality pitching mound in this price range! ## Features - portable affordable pitching solutions - light weight and easy to carry ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Item Package Dimensions L x W x H | 39.37 x 39.37 x 19.69 inches | | Package Weight | 100 Kilograms | | Brand Name | Players Choice Mounds | | Manufacturer | Players Choice Mounds | | Size | 4" step straight training aid | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Players Choice Mounds - **Manufacturer:** Players Choice Mounds - **UPC:** 689353748328 ## Images ![Step Straight Youth Baseball Training Aid! So much wasted time which could have been used for pitching practice! This mound is very well built. It is thick and sturdy. The pitching rubber, handles, hooks, etc. are all excellent quality materials. The carpet-turf is securely attached, and the whole thing looks very sharp when in use. It doesn't look shabby while being stored, either. Some (very simple and intuitive) assembly is required. You'll be able to use this in less than 30 minutes after opening it.The unit is easy to set up, easy to collapse, and easy to transport. It's heavy, but not so heavy that it's awkward or difficult to move. The two handles are well-planned and seem to be positioned perfectly. The (two) hinged slope pieces of the mound fold and fit neatly into the main rectangular section, creating a very small footprint when not in use. There are some splinters, especially at first. The screws also poke through the interior bottom in spots. Both of these things are only noticable during each setup and breakdown. You could probably put pieces of foam or bouncy balls on the screws if you're concerned about them. (I'm not, and have not had any issues with them.)This has been a great tool to help my young pitcher straighten up his delivery. It is very secure when being used, and I have no concerns about stability or strength. It's also an impressive piece of training equipment to use in your own yard, or take with you to a practice field/facility.Overall, I am extrememly happy with this purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helping alot! *by I***N on July 8, 2019* Great product my son loves it ### ⭐⭐⭐ It’s ok... *by S***V on July 2, 2019* It’s ok. No bungee cord came with mine. Plywood is busted up and chipped in a few places. It’s all put together with pocket screws. I’ll keep it in the garage but any moisture will make the plywood swell. There are lots of screws sticking through where the smaller pieces are supposed to be stored. Somebody’s hands will get cut up or at least the carpet will get torn packing and unpacking so it may not be the most portable. Seemed like this was a great idea but the execution lacking. Hoping for at least a year or 2 of regular use. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/754546384-step-straight-youth-baseball-training-aid-ultra-light-portable-pitching](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/754546384-step-straight-youth-baseball-training-aid-ultra-light-portable-pitching) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
