The game is a port of the coin-op of the same name that hit the arcade in the spring of 2000. Much of the setting, action, and controls have survived the translation. The difference here is that there's just more of a good thing in the PS2's Dark Legacy. You play as one of eight characters--four from the Gauntlet Legends, plus a sorceress, knight, dwarf, and jester. Dark Legacy also features a larger selection of threads for each fighter. Once your character is attired suitably, the game becomes a stab-and-jab fest. It’s a fan favorite and, because retro games have seen a resurgence in popularity, it can be tough to find good used games complete and in good condition. This was all of the above with the manual and everything. Game is a lot of fun and who can resist that Yellow Sorceress? 🥰 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Nostalgia at it's best *by P***L on Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2013* This is one of the best games that I have ever played. it allows up to four players, with the multi-tap to adventure through a variety of somplex puzzle style maps filled with treasure chests, hoards of monsters, secret items, and backtracking. The graphics are not the best but are better than the other versions of this game, though you do have to sacrifice the ability to turn items on and off when saving the world. If you know basic puzzle solving skills and have a good sense of direction then this game should take you between 15-30 hours depending on the number and skill of people playing. 8 starting heroes with 8 more hidden and one super secret and hard to get character. Level system up to 99 with appearance and title changes every 10 levels.Great game, contains a bit of blood and some violence but the graphics are not super lifelike, I would not recommend this for anyone under the age of 11 due to the amount of time involved.
