I've been looking for a quality shielded 4 conductor cable to be used in a HVAC data line application. This cable meets the bill and then some. The jacket is tough and protective of the 100% shield with a pure stranded copper drain wire. Each conductor is also pure copper and tightly twisted together. This cable is installed in a common cable ally with 24 runs of CAT6a data and multiple RG-8a medium RF power coax lines. No crosstalk whatsoever! I Highly recommend the vendor and this cable. Review: Good quality cable - The cable is good quality, and I had no issue soldering it to aircraft connectors. I do not find the overall stiffness to be an issue, I think it will last just fine for the use I expect from my CNC in a hobbyist-use situation. Would like to know minimum bend radius and expected number of flex cycles** A: Very flexible. I used it on my CNC and it constantly bends and flexes and it holds up great **Q: Is this wire copper clad aluminum or is it stranded solid copper?** A: I'm pretty sure this is aluminum wire, not copper. And the wire's insulation is very soft and thick. It works but I swapped out for name-brand wire on my cnc. **Q: Can i use this for hvac communication wire between air handlers and heat pump?** A: Don’t see why not. Follow the installation instructions, I’m sure they call out the required wire/gauge. **Q: Can the wire be used to connect vfd to cnc sindle (1.5 kw) ? it uses 4 wires 3+1 ground** A: 16awg would be better suited. 1500w motor on 110-120v would draw up to 12.5amps. If this cable is rated for 10 amps, it would not rated for that use. However, if using a 220-240v VFD and spindle, the power consumption would be half of that at 6.25amps. I would confirm this cable is rated for 300v (CL3) and not just 150v (CL2) The length of cable also makes a difference but I would recommend using this for at most NEMA 23 stepper motors, but not a 1.5kw spindle. Cable was a little stiffer than I had expected, but not so much that it would cause a problem. Internally, all wires were copper, unlike what was said in some of the other comments. One wire was difficult to solder. This is normally caused by oxidation.
