The fact that the artist's paintings are in black and white should not be a reason to overlook this book but instead a true lover of landscape paintings would take that as something to be learnt from - values! The most important thing that makes a good art. So I'm glad that the paintings are purely in just values to understand how a painting should translate the same way as it does in colours. People complaining about b&w images are missing the point and shying away from learning some valuable lessons here. It makes you love and appreciate landscapes. The fact that the artist's paintings are in black and white should not be a reason to overlook this book but instead a true lover of landscape paintings would take that as something to be learnt from - values!
