Carefully remove the blade. Clean any lint build-up on the blade & the handle. Put a drop of sewing machine oil around the center of the blade before reassembling. **Q: Does it come with an extra blade please?** A: This only comes with 1 blade. You may buy extra replacement blades separately. **Q: I build miniature log cabins. I need a rotary cutter that will cut through small pieces of wood . Is there one to be recommended?** A: No, it is for fabric and will not cut wood. What I would recommend for you is a small Dremil. Not sure of the spelling, but it is a great hand held small tool that you can purchase multiple different attachments for all types of crafting and repairs.
