Review for Hades
In this sequel to Halo, Jake Thorn is accidentally loosed from Hades thanks to a seance that Angel Bethany's friend, Molly's friends decide to conduct at a Halloween party. From there, Jake pulls a very trechearous trick on Angel Bethany by disguising himself as one of Xavier's friends with a motocycle. In doing so he, unfortunately, succeeds in luring Angel Bethany into Hades with him. From there, he makes a claim that he wants to make Angel Bethany his demon queen in his Circle of Hades (which is the Third). He at least makes sure that Angel Bethany never gets less than (his idea of) the best treatment and when Angel Bethany accidentally runs into the Pit (the biblical "lake of fire" in which souls of the damned are tortured for eternity), he even offers to erase her memory. One of the things I personally admire about Angel Bethany in this one is that despite her air of innocence and naivete, she refuses that offer and realizes that she was meant to see the Pit because it was meant to teach her something for the long run. Though the part that had me teary-eyed the first time I read it is when Angel Bethany manages to find her friend, Molly's friend, Taylah (she had committed suicide under Jake's influence in Halo) in a Wasteland tunnel with access back to Earth. Angel Bethany, Jake's human assistant, Tuck and Taylah manage to have a good few minutes on Earth until the trackers disguised as very ugly and vicious dogs manage to find them. Taylah then explains to Angel Bethany the reasons why she was personally thrown in Hades in the first place (because she had basically been quite selfish and had only cared about "having fun" during her life on Earth) and sacrifices herself eternally to the Pit to save Angel Bethany and Tuck. I do have to admit that if I were Adornetto, I would have probably omitted that whole scene, made Angel Bethany wait for Archangel Gabriel and Ivy's rescue and probably thrown Taylah into Limbo instead. I don't think she really deserved Hades because after all, she was just a teenager (the in-between stage of humanity) and who knows who she might have become as an adult? Again, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see why someone like Jake would consider Angel Bethany to be an ultimate target for speeding up the process of the apocalypse. Aside from her innocence and naivete, since she was only recently created, Angel Bethany is also still quite ignorant about many things and often displays the stubbornness of an adolescent (Archangel Gabriel and Ivy are constantly having to bail her out as a result) though unlike Jake, she possesses a magnificent ability to love and as Jake knows, she will do anything for love. Especially to keep Xavier alive and protected on Earth. Again, Adornetto successfully demonstrates what it truly means to follow your heart and protect the love of your life at any cost.

Fell Under its Spell
Originally on Fiction FreakAs the sequel toNew York Time's Bestseller, Halo, this book exceed ed all expectations. At only 18, Alexandra has blown away all readers around the world with Halo and continues to do that with Hades, and later on in Heaven, the third (and maybe final) book in the halo series. In the first book, Bethany Church, an angel, falls in love with Xavier which isn't good to put it bluntly. Jake Thorn, a Prince or Hell, arrives and tries to woo Bethany into his arms and instead gets banished by her brother Gabriel. Ms. Adornetto could've done so many things in Hades, so many different roads to take this story, but this was one I didn't expect. not until I read the blurb that is.Different from so many paranormal stories, Bethany and her siblings, Ivy abd Gabriel, aren't fallen angels, or Nephilim, but angels straight from up above. This fact itself makes it original (I used to think that angels with halos and giant wings were pretty stupid. Now? Tch. AS IF!) , but Hades makes this tale a legend in the book world. An angel kidnapped by a lovesick demon, and brought to hell. WHO has ever done that before? It's deliciously original.I loved Bethany. She was weaker than Kaniss, Juliette, Meghan, Nora, all of them. But really, you have to expect that. She's an angel. She isn't that used to the "evils of the world" that we see every day. But the fact that she was one step away from killing herself for just one glimpse of Xavier really did piss me off. I'm all for romance. But desperation for one look? No. Just no.I loved the description of Hell because it's so much more complex (wait...don't smite me God!) and interesting than a giant lake of lave like so many people imagine. Everyone loves a little flash from the past, so when a certain ghost shows up and gives us a new insight of life, we're all happy!Alexandra Adornetto somehow adds moral with a romantic fantasy at a young age and inspires so many o fus young writers that we can get published too!

Hades.
I did not expect anything that happened. This particular angel themed book has taken me by surprise with each page turn. The great descriptions really set the tone for the book and had a way of sucking you into the story. I found myself unable to put the book down! The description in the book for particular scenes on Earth and in Hades made you feel like you were there feeling the heat of the flames licking at you, the emotional distress of having been snatched away from your loved ones, and feeling the pressure of trying to make the right choice to protect loved ones. What I really like about this series is that this book tries to show what real love is, not the material and physical lust that most mistake for love. In this book it shows the maturing process of those blinded by hormonal and physical love and finally seeing the light of the real love that binds two individuals together. This book shows how some people go through different trials in their lives and the decisions that they make affect not only themselves but those around them as well. This book is a heart clincher and that draws you in, makes you feel the deep connections with all of the characters and you experience the same emotions they feel.I have thoroughly loved this book for all of the twists and turns that it takes you through, and it may be my favorite of the three.

Un infierno tonto
Una manera ridícula, infantil y absurda de representar el Infierno. Una novela entiendo que dirigida a un público joven pero que ofende.

Great Gift
I got these books as a birthday gift for my wife. She has already started reading them, and if she likes them I am sure she will tell me that I must read them as well.

Very enjoyable
I bought the first book Halo in a charity shop and when I finished it looked on Amazon Kindle to see if she had written and others and was delighted to find that there were two more in the series. This one was as entertaining and as gripping as the first. Well done Alexandra and thank you. About to start the final book.
