This drainer drys the dishes faster since air can get all around the dishes. I put most of my dishes in the dishwasher. But I have several pans that I don't put in the dishwasher. The new drainer works perfect for that. If I would have to pick something not quite perfect about it, I would have to choose that it would be nice if it were an inch or two deeper.
