Very Pleased Customer
I had trouble installing this at first and was about to send it back. I sent the seller a note asking for help. They responded by email the very next day, which was nice. It didn't solve my problem though and when I wrote them back to tell them that, they called me...like right away...and walked me through where I was having trouble. When I went back to try their suggestion, they were spot on. Spoiler: If you open up your switch and think there are only two wires to connect a three wire DewStop, look in the back of the junction box. The white wire are back there. I'm giving these guys FIVE STARS for having a product that does what it says it will do, and for customer support that is hard to find today. Hope you guys go far. So you know, this is not a paid for review. I bought this thing at full price. I'll probably buy another DewStop for another bathroom too.

This is a great concept, but doesn't work in its execution
This is my second switch and neither one works well. I purchased the first one (which was an older model) while doing house renovations. By the time I got to installing the switch I was outside of the return date. The switch would not turn on from the moisture in the room. If I blew on the switch it would turn on, but would not turn on from the moisture otherwise. Basically it was just an expensive timer.I bought this newer model because you can adjust the sensitivity. Now it is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. If I turn up the sensitivity, then the fan turns on when I turn on my sink faucet, but not when the shower is on and the room is steaming up. This may be because the switch is just above the sink, while much lower than the ceiling where the shower steam collects. This is a great concept, but doesn't work in its execution.

Doesn't perform well in automatic mode
I am currently using it only as a timer (manually turning it on, let it run for a preset time). With normal or higher moisture sensitivity it just randomly turns on when nobody is using the shower and doesn't when the shower is actually used... I ended up just setting it to minimum sensitivity and opting for manual On/Off. Thankfully it at least has a built-in timer or it would be a very expensive rocker switch...

Excellent product and customer service too!
I ordered both an FS-100 and FS-200 DewStop Condensation Control Switch back in 2010. I installed them myself, and had them both work flawlessly. Based on this performance, I purchased another one for the 3rd bathroom and had the same experience. During the winter of 2012-2013, one of the FS-200 switches started randomly running the fan during the night, then shutting off. Sometimes I could hit the fan switch and it would shut off, sometimes it would restart after a minute or so. When spring came this stopped, so I didn't give it another thought. Now in summer with the A/C running, it started to do the same thing just last week. I checked the wiring and everything was tight. I decided to call DewStop and ask them about it to see if there was anything else I could check. After being on hold for a couple of minutes, the rep came back and told me they would be happy to send me a replacement free of charge if I would ship the bad one back! I never expected this since the switch is almost 3 years old, but I happily accepted the offer and thanked them very much too. The rep said she would also send a return label for the bad switch so I don't have to pay return postage. Quite frankly I would have purchased another one since I've been so happy with the performance of them as a whole, and written this one off to a bad one in the lot. DewStop truly exceeded my expectations and showed how a company should stand behind their products!

An excellent solution, highly recommended.
Love it!I put it in mostly to give auto off capabilities in my daughter's bathroom (They leave the fan on 24/7 because hitting a button is so hard) And it exceeded my expectations. Now they don't even have to touch it. IT comes on shortly after the shower turns on and back off within 45 or so minutes of them being done. and if they turn it on by hand then it shuts off within 30 minutes! I love it!It swapped into the old switches position without any hassle and it can be done by anyone who has some knowledge about changing a light switch. It has been operating for about 4 months now and I couldn't be happier.I am trying to list a con but honestly there are none that I have found but I will update this review if my experience changes.Just my thoughts,AK

Condensation not Relative humidity
This is a condensation sensing switch and not one that senses relative humidity of x % and turns on the fan. That said, I installed it in my kids bath right next to the shower and at a height of about 7 ft and it turns on automatically after every shower so its working well. If you manually turn on the fan, it runs for 30 mins and auto shuts off. Very convenient but where you place it is very critical to how well it operates for you. Get it as close to the shower as you can and as high as you can so it can sense the condensation. It was a lot cheaper to get this switch and a Panasonic whisper ceiling fan than a panasonic fan with built in humidity sensor. That said, if you already have a switch box far away from the ideal placement, a fan with a built in humidity sensor may be a better fit for you, albeit more expensive.

What I needed
I was having humidity and condensation problems in my laundry room. The drier vent was connected clean and working, so I eliminated that as a cause. I checked the attic for leaks and found none, leaving the washer and drier as the most probable cause for the problem. The room is interior to the house and has no windows. I have a wall mounted exhaust fan which was noisy and switch operated and was also only about 4 feet off the floor in a room with 9' ceilings. After consulting with manufacturer, regarding a ceiling mount for the switch, I purchased and installed it in the ceiling, along with a new 110 CFM fan. So far, no more condensation on the ceiling or walls. Operation is on the automatic mode, so it runs when needed.
