The case is stylish, with the back having a nice smooth, textured feel. The outer part of the case where the gold lies is a hard plastic. Luckily mine didn't arrive with any scratches or bruises. It snaps right on, but the two main problems I have is how difficult it is to take off and the volume knockers and sound/silence swicth is very difficult to adjust. I have to use a fingernail just to adjust the volume. There was some paint drip and little things wrong with it but not much. It's definitely more of a girl's case though (I did not realize at first). It provides decent protection. The reason I give it a 3 star is because for the price it actually lasted longer than I thought but also not very long at all for a case (2 months or so), before it started to kind of fall apart. But for less than $5 what can you expect.
