There is no setup just pop in 2 AAA batteries and you are done (Batteries not included). The remote works exactly the same as my original Samsung brand remote. Importantly, the on/off button, the smart hub button, the sources button, the navigational buttons, the 3D button, and the volume and channel controls all work perfectly with no setup required.
