They are comfortable to wear all day and I wore them without socks. The color is a shimmering gold but it's subtle, almost beige and therefore goes with many different colors. They run a little bit large. I had to return my first pair and go down one half size because my foot was slipping out of the back of the shoe. I went down half a size and now that doesn't happen, they fit perfect and don't hurt my toes or heels.
