I've washed them, straightened, & even curl them. They are still in great condition, I actually bought 2 sets because I have a lot of hair & they blended better with my thick hair. I love love love them, when you wash or comb them, you do have to be gentle & careful. If not, you will make them shed so just treat them with care & you won't have that issue. They are still the same thickness, they haven't shed like other people have mentioned, I think because maybe they didn't handle them with care like you're supposed to.
