So far the new cord is working well. The bulb only lights after the dimmer switch is half-way turned. There is no response before that.It has not been one month, and I am already on my second bulb. The bulb keeps flickering and there is no pattern to it.It was very scary for my kids at night. Flickering bulb is a cause for concern since that means the bulb are not good quality and are maybe a fire hazard. Definitely removing them from my kids room and returning these.
