Review: Sound - Excellent brushes but over priced in my opinion Review: Worked for me. - After watching Bob Ross on BBC4, I think I was like a lot of people and thought, "I can do that." So I bought some cheap brushes, oil paints and all the paraphernalia that you need to do a Bob Ross wet on wet painting. With a decent easel it cost about three hundred and fifty quid to set up. My first attempt wasn't bad, not good but not awful. The second attempt was worse than the first, my mountains resembled Sydney Opera house. The brushes I was using just weren't doing the job, I couldn't get the effects I wanted. I decided to purchase the set of Bob Ross brushes to see if these would make a difference and actually, they did. Ok I still need lots of practise but when it comes to using the brushes to do the leaves on tree like Bob does, I was far more successful. The blending brush made such a difference to my sky though upon washing it afterwards it does look a little bit warped, I'm hoping it will still blend ok. Although the brushes are more expensive than others I found them worth purchasing to get the effects I wanted. The picture I have downloaded is my third attempt and I've not painted before in oils, it's not brilliant but I'm getting there with the new brushes. Would recommend if you are serious in taking painting up as a hobby. ## Features - Designed by Bob Ross for the wet on wet painting technique - Top quality, natural bristle brushes that will achieve wonderful predictable effects - Please Note: The manufacturer Bob Ross Inc is now having the Bob Ross brushes made in Germany; These are authentic Bob Ross branded brushes - Do not use with water or waterbased products ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B013MJ2QWK | | Best Sellers Rank | 344,569 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 331 in Paintbrushes (Home & Kitchen) 919 in Paintbrush Sets | | Brand | Bob Ross | | Brand Name | Bob Ross | | Bristle Type | Natural bristles | | Bristle type | Natural bristles | | Brush Width | 2.5 Centimeters | | Brush width | 2.5 Centimeters | | Colour | Gold, Grey, Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,152 Reviews | | Handle Type | wood | | Item Weight | 0.1 Pounds | | Manufacturer | BobRoss | | Manufacturer Part Number | SG_B013MJ2QWK_US | | Material | Natural | | Material Type | Natural | | Model Number | SG_B013MJ2QWK_US | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Paint Type | Oil | | Set Name | Landscape Brush Set | | Size | L | | UPC | 730656170016 | | Unit Count | 12.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Bob Ross - **Brush width:** 2.5 Centimeters - **Colour:** Gold, Grey, Silver - **Material:** Natural - **Size:** L ## Images ![Landscape Brush Set, Oil Based Painting Tools, 12 pieces - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61DEQJtWqkL.jpg) ![Landscape Brush Set, Oil Based Painting Tools, 12 pieces - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71bfnLVT1zL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: It says not to use these brushes with water or water based products.
