## Description

The Portion Plate for adults. 100% melamine, 9 1/2" in diameter, dishwasher safe. The Portion Plate is an interactive tool for teaching consumers appropriate food portions. Unlike a text-based paper educational brochure, The Portion Plate is an actual melamine, dishwasher-safe plate that offers a tangible demonstration of how much food we should eat. Not only are the plate's illustrated portion areas a good guide to follow, but the make up of a good meal is also presented. This means 1/2 of your plate should be fruits and vegetables, 1/4 of your plate whole grains and the remaining 1/4 lean protein.

Review: Portion control - It's a great idea for portion control but I think measurements should be under the photos of the portioned food to make it easier for people but other than that small downfall it is a great plate. I recommend it definitely.
Review: Item as described - Seller was fast and efficient. Received it in a timely fashion. Item was as described. However my bf has Chron's so will have to find a sub for whole grains as he can't eat much fiber. Was also sad that the plate is not microwavable. However, is very useful. I will soon start using it and hopefully my whole house will lose weight.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is it made out of? Material? Plastic? Is it bpa free or toxin free?**
A: Plastic. Bpa free but I'm not sure about toxins. It's the same serving size as children's portions plates---might save money getting them from the dollar store.

**Q: Why not make it microwaveable?**
A: Melamine products can emit toxins if microwaved.

**Q: how many plates does this come with?**
A: One plate and it really does help with portion size.

**Q: Where is this made?**
A: China

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Plate For Learning About Portion Control
*by A***R on July 22, 2020*

I'm really enjoying this. I'm famous for over eating so when I saw this I thought it might help me learn to take better care of my body. I use the plate to measure what i'm eating and then put my food in a bowl but i'm finding that though the portion is significantly smaller than what I'm used to, thats a good thing. I feel full after a meal but not stuffed to death. And when I'm hungry later, I use the plate to measure and i'm good to go. Highly recommend!
