More and more I am finding that shelves feel cheap and hollow. This shelf was actually heavier than I expected. It was very easy to put up though since you are first mounting the brace and once that is level and tight, you just slide the wood shelf on and secure with three screws underneath. It definitely feels solid and sturdy. I love the color. It looks beautiful on the wall as a floating shelf.
