Charley Harper's whimsical paintings have delighted art and nature lovers for more than sixty years. Harper (1922-2007) developed his unique style while a student at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and the Art Students League in New York City. His distinctive use of simple geometric shapes, patterns, and vivid colors-a style he defined as minimal realism-succinctly captured the essence of each creature he portrayed.Assembled puzzle measures 20 x 29. Review: Best puzzles I've ever had - After we did one of these Charley Harper puzzles, I ordered like 5 more! (We had time during lockdowns...) The pieces are sturdy and fit together so nicely, and the designs are challenging but lots of fun because of all the little lines and circles and bits of color that give you hints, and all the delightful little animals and plants that you only notice after you've been working on it awhile. So many times I had to tell myself, Step AWAY from the puzzle! because it was so addictive that I'd completely lose track of time! Review: Fun, challenging, and beautiful! - This was the first puzzle I've completed since, I don't know, 5th grade. I love Charley Harper prints so this was a lot of fun to put together! Challenging but not too difficult. The box is a really nice sturdy cardboard, and the pieces were all in tact without any fraying. Get it! ## Features - Age: Adult - Artist: Charley Harper - Pieces: 1000 - Product Type: Jigsaw Puzzle - Theme: Contemporary Art ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | 0764954245 | | Additional Features | Portable | | Age Range Description | Children/Juvenile | | Best Sellers Rank | #212,548 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #10,646 in Puzzles (Toys & Games) | | Brand Name | Pomegranate | | Customer Package Type | Standard Packaging | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 269 Reviews | | Educational Objective | Color Recognition | | Global Trade Identification Number | 09780764954245 | | Included Components | Poster | | Is Assembly Required | No | | Item Dimensions | 20.08 x 20.08 x 0.04 inches | | Item Dimensions L x W | 10"L x 2"W | | Item Shape | Rectangular | | Item Weight | 2 Pounds | | Manufacturer | UNKNO | | Manufacturer Maximum Age (MONTHS) | 1188 | | Manufacturer Minimum Age (MONTHS) | 144 | | Manufacturer Part Number | AA639 | | Material Type | Cardboard | | Model Number | AA639 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1000 | | Operation Mode | Manual | | Play Activity Location | Tabletop | | Product Style | minimal realism | | Puzzle Type | Jigsaw | | Size | 1000 | | Skill Level | Intermediate | | Theme | Animals | | UPC | 717195233990 885579977621 | ## Images ![Glacier Bay, Alaska 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81fBx4ZrC0L.jpg) ![Glacier Bay, Alaska 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91caQ1MY0fL.jpg) ![Glacier Bay, Alaska 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A1RhnYhEypL.jpg) ![Glacier Bay, Alaska 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Re1Fhj+YL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best puzzles I've ever had *by N***T on October 10, 2021* After we did one of these Charley Harper puzzles, I ordered like 5 more! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun, challenging, and beautiful! *by T***Y on November 23, 2014* This was the first puzzle I've completed since, I don't know, 5th grade. I love Charley Harper prints so this was a lot of fun to put together! Challenging but not too difficult. The box is a really nice sturdy cardboard, and the pieces were all in tact without any fraying. Get it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Slow & Steady! *by C***T on October 16, 2017* This puzzle is for those wanting a good challenge. I was a bit overwhelmed at the very similar pieces at first. I am slowly but surely working on it, and it's quite a process, but I've found an untapped determination every time I pass by it and actually look forward to the challenge. I'm actually getting passionate about it! I bought it because I love the graphics in Charley Harper's artwork, and I tire of the run-of-the-mill puzzles with kittens, flowers and landscapes. I definitely think this is a good puzzle for stimulating the mind! I'm experiencing the "one missing edge piece" syndrome right now and hoping it's just buried somewhere and not actually missing from the box. But overall I love this puzzle. It is not for the faint of heart puzzle aficionados, but I'm really looking forward to framing it once I'm done! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/7826963-glacier-bay-alaska-1000-piece-jigsaw-puzzle](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/7826963-glacier-bay-alaska-1000-piece-jigsaw-puzzle) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
