The original with 36 different options made of food-safe plastic, lead and cadmium-free high-quality and stable slicer with very sharp interchangeable blade. All cutting blades made of stainless steel. Height adjustment: o with the left knob you can adjust the disc thickness from 1 to 9 mm a 9 mm Level 1 + 2: for approx. 1 + 2 mm thin slices, e.g. for cucumbers, radishes, radishes, carrots, herb, onion rings, beebli, potato gratin o Level 3 and 4: for approx. 3 and 4 mm thick slices, e.g. for peppers, leeks, kohlrabi, rübli, lemons, herb. Review: Amazing - Fantastic. Would give 10 stars if I could. Have been through three zyliss julienne slicers in recent years, but had to keep throwing them away because they 'grew' rust, and didn't slice properly. This slicer is amazing. Seven different choices of thickness, and three width settings. I have used it nearly every day for the last three years or so. It is still sharp, and no signs of rust at all. I keep mine in the airing cupboard to dry it out after rinsing. As with all mandolins, you need to watch your fingers, consider buying a chainmail glove for extra safety. This little slicer is well worth the money.

Without needing any fiddly extras this will slice, from super thin to thick, make matchsticks again of varying thickness and dice. And it comes with a juicing attachment! Solid, well made product. The blade is incredibly sharp and works well even on root vegetables. As with all things in life, it does take a little practise to get it working as designed. The key to keeping food in the holder is to keep a firm downward pressure on the holder while slicing. WARNING: Store this item where children cannot get their hands on it. I have nightmares about little children slicing the ends of their fingers off playing with the thing.
