The Chinese versions are crap and if you're carrying a Schrade it's essentially Chinese crap. 2) Get yourself an American made Ontario blade, preferably one of the Spec Plus models and put your fire gear in your pack where it belongs.3) You're never going to find yourself stranded in the "Great White North" with nothing but your Chinese hollow handle knife and a fuel tablet. If you do, you most likely made terrible life decisions and deserve to be consumed by a polar bear.4) I'm not a chemist and I have no idea what causes spontaneous combustion (didn't they debunk that on Myth Busters?) **Q: It has a lot of health warnings on the package. They’re light, do not take up space, not noisy like a canister stove that pushes out isobutane/propane, so you’re not disturbing neighbors if you have any at a camp site. They heat well. The heat level isn’t as great as compared to a pressurized isobutane flame however, if you’re camping, relaxation is what you’re after. They may not heat as fast but, you get a good boil out of these fuel tablets.
