It's okay if you got a little ammount applied while cleaning your strings. But it's not good for fretboard. Go for lemon oil for that. You'll find it from Dunlop or Planet Waves too. **Q: Can it be used on violin strings?** A: To be used in Metal strings **Q: Is it good for removing rust?** A: I have used it only twice.... it does remove a Layer of Rust ...
