Very high quality! This is a FIVE STAR product. My review is really about how Amazon presented it.I am new to DIY, and until I learn more, I live and die by the product descriptions, and also considered (past tense) that when products are recommended by Amazon to be purchased together, that they’re compatible.So after reading description in detail, reviewing all photos, I didn’t realize it had foam on it. So, since it is shown as part of a recommended package by Amazon along with foamed backed sanding, I ended up trying to insert the thick sandpaper w foam into a head that already had. So unless I am missing something, those are not compatible right?The description also says, “Adapter required to use with corner roller handle or X1 Extension Pole.” Well, I have been looking all over and can’t find the adapter. And I LOVE the Columbia pole I bought, but unless I can find the adapter, I guess one has to go. I will probably call Al’s Taping and see if a live person can help me out!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Threads match most poles, with a significant number that won't fit (see my list).

This is supposed to be 3/4"-5 Acme threaded. It is, but it apparently isn't the standard version, or perhaps its too close to the original specs (there's a half-dozen different tolerance specifications for the threads, from 2G-4G, "G" being for "General Purpose", and 2C to 4C, "C" being for "Centralizing", etc), and this one apparently is tighter than 3 of my 5 paint or generic extension poles. Standard, rounded broom handle threading, like you get on wooden or cheap, stamped metal pole thread caps? Yes, it works just fine with the Columbia. Also works with Wooster Sherlock GT extension pole's plastic threaded adapter. DID NOT work with HD branded 5' extension pole, or HFT branded 57536 extension pole (both of these two have very squared Acme style threads that DO NOT match the threading on the Columbia Pole Sander Head). Squared, flat sides on your pole's threading and squared / flat tops to the it's threading (like for an old style wood clamp, etc), it probably won't work. I will add that I have noticed some paint poles that do have very squared Acme style threading that aren't quite as wide ("fat") as the threading on this Columbia sanding head's is. So a square-ish appearing thread on your paint pole probably isn't an automatic disqualifier. It took me 40 minutes with an aluminum file and Dykem layout fluid to file down the sharp edges of the threads on the HFT 57536 extension pole to make it fit the Columbia Pole Sander Head. Hardly worth my time. They do make old-school dies to thread or chase this thread type, but they're expensive (well over $100 ea). Not worth it for just this job. I hope they really re-think this threading, make some tweaks to it, and make it truly "universal". (as of Oct 2023).Dec '23 edit: I am revising my review up one star to 4 stars. I spent half a day (so you won't have to) checking the fit of the Columbia sanding head at a half-dozen different hardware and paint stores. It seems the thread fitment issue is less widespread than I initially had concluded.Here is a short list of poles that the Columbia sanding head WILL NOT fit at all (in addition to the two mentioned above, from HD & HFT):- Project Source 4' steel ext pole (light gray; #40372; at Lowes) note that there was a similar dark gray pole with a blue handle in the same spot but with no label that DID work. May be an older/newer version.- Project Source 6-1/2' to 12' ext pole (#0523519; at Lowes)Poles the Columbia sanding head will marginally to modestly work with (threads on a couple of threads, or is very tight):- Dunn Edwards 4' metal ext pole (orange; #XP-P4MP; only threads on about 2 turns)- LG Sourcing 3.2-6' telescoping ext pole (#1615041; @ Lowes; threads on 2 turns)- LG Sourcing 6.3-12' ext pole (#1615044; Lowes - tight fitting, threads on 2-3 turns)- Project Source 4-8' ext pole (#1615043; Lowes - very tight fitting, threads on 2-3 turns)Extension poles that the Columbia sanding head will definitely work ok to well with:- Anvil brand paint poles (@ HD)- Ettore "Reach" ext poles (@ Lowes)- LG Sourcing 4.4-8' Step-Lock ext pole (#1615046; @ Lowes)- Mr Longhorn ext poles- Mr Longarm 4-8' Twist-Lok ext pole (#9248)- Project Source 5' wood ext pole (#1615047; @ Lowes)- Project Source 2-4' fiberglass step-lock telescoping ext pole (#1615045)- Purdy Powerlock ext poles (2-4' #1177/18, or 140855624, or 4-8' version; @ Lowes)- Quickie brand replacement wood broom handles (metal capped)- Sherman Williams "Contractor Series" extension poles- Sherman Williams 4' wood pole (no listed brand)- Whizz Green bamboo pole (4'; #0184267)- Wooster brand metal capped paint poles (@ HD)- Wooster brand 4' fixed length pole (red; #R070-48")- Wooster brand - any Sherlock ext pole, including with GT adapters
