The ironing took about an hour, not a huge deal. I had to order the sheets and get them printed as well. The aprons turned out great and really added to the flair of the party! Plus, they served the practical purpose of protecting everyone's clothes. The iron-ons have held up pretty well although the edges curl up a little bit. These aprons feel a little like polyester with a sheen to them. Definitely not 100% cotton. This is good for messes or cooking. I haven't washed mine yet because I want to preserve the iron on graphics as long as possible. I don't think these are meant to be used as your one apron for years and years.
