The Elegoo Centauri Carbon that used this hothead was well maintained and functioning without issue. I simply wanted a different size nozzle and Elegoo had a long wait time to ship one of their official parts, so I ordered this one. That was a mistake. There appears to be a manufacturing defect that slightly misaligns the position of the hole on the top of the heat sink that receives the filament from the feeding gears, and/or an issue with how the nozzle fixes onto that heat sink. The first two layers of the print were successful, so I stepped away for twenty minutes. When I checked again, the PLA was oozing out of various parts of the hotend and fusing with the inside of the full print head. That entire part will need to be replaced. This is disappointing and will put this machine out of service for some time.
