I would definitely recommend this tool. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best rivit gun out there *by J***I on November 26, 2023* This rivit gun is awesome, works super good, best one I have ever owned. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, But the Jury is Still Out *by L***N on April 16, 2022* This is nice gun in many respects, but it has some drawbacks. PROS 1. It’s very lightweight, just 2 lbs 10 oz. The size is also more compact than a lot of similar tools, both reasons I chose this model. 2. It has a conventional trigger, not a lever-pull. I prefer this as I find it more natural, and you never pinch your fingers behind a lever, another reason I chose this model. 3. It sets rivets easily with no kick. Upon receipt, I set a bunch of trial rivets without issue or jam. The true test will come over time. 4. It comes apart relatively easily if you need to work on it. Tools are included (they’re standard metric sizes). It’s also supplied with a special hypodermic-style tool for injecting oil in a top-side port if needed. 5. It comes with a swivel joint and air nipple pre-installed. The swivel is not a universal -- it only rotates -- but it doesn't leak air, a common issue, so it's adequate. That's good, because the tool port into which it's screwed is not standard ¼" NPT. On the other hand, the output side of the swivel IS standard. I found that the supplied nipple leaked a bit in my HF connector, so I replaced it with a standard HF nipple. 6. It comes with a selection of nose orifices for different size rivets up to 3/16". 7. It comes ready-to-use out of the box . . . I think, which brings me to the biggest “con” (#1). CONS 1. This is my principal complaint. Someone wrote that theirs came with no manual. Mine did, although it makes little difference as the manual is largely unintelligible, so I have no idea whether indeed the tool is ready-to-go out of the box (it appears to be), or needs some oiling or other intervention first. I actually used the translate function of a certain well-known search engine to read portions of the manual. Here’s an excerpt from the manual: “In the clip device of the riveter, the front catheter and rear catheter of the jaw is connected by screw thread, brake ring fit respectively with flat bit of the front catheter and rear catheter on the jaw, and fix the connection between the both, avoid using a wrench to dismantle.” Right. (It always amazes me when Chinese companies cut corners by not paying a qualified translation service to prepare their products for export to the U.S.) 2. Unlike similar tools, there are no mounts anywhere on this tool to store the extra nose pieces. TIP: The thread on the nose pieces is M10-1.00. My solution was to epoxy three M10-1.00 nuts to the bottom canister to create storage places (see photo). I roughed up the nuts' glue-side faces with emery paper to improve the glue's grip. (The tool's surface is already stippled.) 3. There is no cup to catch rivets’ pins. They simply fall out of a hole at the rear (they’re not ejected). This could become messy if doing production work and setting a lot of rivets. I’m basically a hobbyist, so that presents no great issue for me. (I'm thinking of testing a small draw-string bag at the rear.) 4. The warranty on the overall gun is 1 year, BUT the warranty on the “nose section” is only 90 days, and nothing clarifies where that line is drawn. It makes sense, for example, that the jaws may have a limited warranty, but not the rest of the mechanism in the nose. 5. In theory, replacement jaws can be purchased. The Q&A section contains an Amazon link for the parts, however Amazon reports: “Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.” Likewise, the manual includes an exploded drawing delineating all of the device’s parts, but no source or contact information is offered in order to buy any of them. PRESSURES NOTE: All of the data provided is metric. The working pressure range is given as: 5.5 - 8 kgf/cm² (~80 - 120 psi). I found that at 90 psi the riveter worked fine below 3/16" rivets. Above, I would up the pressure. It doesn’t consume much air volume, so any compressor that can supply those pressures ought to work fine. BOTTOM LINE: The jury is still out. The gun is appealing in many regards.
