The only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five was because sometimes the guide will "slip" on the violin and not hold its place, and I followed the placement directions pretty thoroughly. Also, it did not really come with a "how to" instructions on what the different notes mean as well as the notation that is associated with the colors. However, I still believe this is a great product to start with if you are like me with just starting to play the violin, and you do not quite have the fingering down. It is also great for people also like me who are teaching themselves how to play the violin just because once you got the notes down, you can wean yourself off the guide and start playing from straight notation.
