Pour a good quantity of soda crystals down the sink drain, followed by cleaning vinegar. Leave it to foam overnight. Next morning flush with boiling water. 2. For the toilet, I only use use the soda crystals and vinegar for cleaning the toilet bowl. They’re useful for lots of things - unblocking drains, cleaning, deodorising, and I mainly use them in the washing machine because we’ve got hard water and it helps reduce detergent use. Price is reasonable too. Odourless. One time though, the whole bag turned up like a rock. I had to go outside with a hammer to break it up, and even then some chunks were too hard to crush by hand. Bit of a pain. Just to note: this isn’t the same as bicarbonate of soda. Washing soda = sodium carbonate (this), baking soda = sodium bicarbonate, and “green bleach” is sodium percarbonate. You can sometimes get it cheaper at B&Q, or in bulk (4 x 1kg) from the same Amazon seller if you’ve got storage space.
