Should be easy, right? Well... as it turns out, it really isn't. We tried multiple brands and this is the first one we're happy with. This ladle is very good when it comes to getting everything out of the cooking pot, doesn't drip on the way to the storage container, and it's been fine so far after many dishwasher cycles. The downside is that it does cost 2 to 3 times of the other ladles, but at least I don't have to shake the water out of it after a dishwasher cycle or wipe up a trail of drops after I serve some soup.
