**Q: these are more course than the blue i assume ?**
A: They are designed to removed heavy carbon fouling without damaging the metal.  Blue is good for removing light fouling or dirt.  I us this brush for cleaning bare meatal parts. Like firing pins and the portions of the BCG. there are different color brushes each with a particular stiffness and material.  Brass is softer than steel and will not remove metal or cause scratches.
