Gives a pretty good idea of the size of the finished model. You have to be a pretty good model builder to do this. And it is a bit messy (lots of dust from filling down bricks). A dremel tool to help file down the bricks helps a lot (I used one for filing dog nails. Runs at the perfect speed).I don't really like the cardboard support columns used to hold up the base. I used small pvc pipe cut to the correct length. Much more stable.The directions are a bit sparse. Don't expect them to tell you everything you need to do. You need to plan a bit on your own. One suggestion is to not be a slave to where the cardboard supports say the windows should be. Start and finish them on an even brick basis when you can.The door archways are a pain. I filed down my own bricks, but there may be a special bag of preformed tiles. I found it after finishing the doors. They don't look quit right, but may be a good starting point.The bricks are mostly the same size. But there are some smaller and larger ones. Save these as you find them. They are useful for when you need a slightly larger or smaller brick for corners, end of a wall, etc.You will need to buy more glue. I used Weld Bond 2oz tube.
