Three additional bank slots, six additional character slots, 20 additional broker slots, a 280-speed mount, the Founder title and assorted trinkets, all account-wide (across all servers and characters). In addition, you'll receive a BoE (tradeable) 280-speed mount worth north of 10k gold at time of posting.The Best Buy edition also includes a 255-speed Blue Roan mount that is, honestly, completely useless unless you're the type who simply *must* have every mount in the game. The Blue Roan is account-wide as well.So, if you already enjoy TERA and want to either: A) make tons of alts -- or B) eliminate the worry of storage space, I recommend the purchase. This is much cheaper than individually purchasing the included items with En Masse's EMP and makes the inventory-management aspects of the game much less of a hassle. If the standard copy of the game is available (and cheaper), you could potentially save yourself a couple dollars.I take a star off the review because of TERA's design. You'll love the active combat and potentially the aesthetic of TERA. The community varies, as should be expected in any MMO, but if you're into RP or ERP you'll find a home here.This is where the fun ends.Leveling is a grindfest (like many MMORPGs). Quests are utterly horrendous, fetch, repetitive, backtracking drivel (so terrible, they removed side quests altogether in the level 60+ areas later added in an expansion). The active combat is refreshing at first, but the developers fail to capitalize on it with simple and monotonous monster/boss AI and mechanics. If you're into quickly leveling, expect to run the same low-end dungeons 10-15 times, each, per character.Endgame is the worst example of grindfest across the myriad MMORPGs I've dabbled in over the years. Endgame bosses use re-hashed skins and mechanics from low-end dungeons. With each update, the developer's MO is to remove 3-6 dungeons (this is unusual), add or slightly tweak 2-4, and force players to run the same one or two ad nauseam for weeks to "earn" the highest end gear. Within a few months, new gear and a new high-end dungeon will be out, allowing you the opportunity to start the process from scratch again.By endgame, you'll be committed to either 2-6 hours of dailies in an attempt to gear or 2-6 hours of easier dailies across your 6-8 alts to mine currency. You'll absolutely need a guild to break the monotony with their (hopefully) entertaining antics on Comms.Or -- if your time is more valuable than your money -- you can pay-to-win. Expect to pay a lot. Many do.If earning a place at the top through commitment, time and repetitive gameplay (and/or a lot of cash) is your thing, TERA is for you. If you want to casually (or not so casually) roleplay a berserking badger, saintly rock-man, or loli prostitute, TERA is for you. If you want to try the combat mechanics without the commitment, you've no need to spend any money. TERA's F2P.
