For the heating therapy I put them in the microwave. **Q: What are the dimensions of the removable gel packs?** A: Copied & pasted from the Vivehealth website: How big are the gel packs? Each gel pack is 9.5” x 4.25”. **Q: Will this work for icing both the back and right side of my left knee simultaneously?** A: Yes you can use this it basically will wrap ice around the entire knee. I have this one because it runs a little bit small and I use it right below the knee around the calf. I use a different one to go around my knee because my knee is a little bit larger due to multiple surgeries and what I'm trying to recover from. so this one runs a little bit on the smaller side it's probably more designed for a woman but a small to average size man could use it very effectively as well. I've used it on my knee in the pinch but I prefer the one that's a little bit larger. **Q: Says it fits up to 21" knee circumference. Would this fit me if Just above my knee, I guess would be considered lower portion of my thigh is 21"?** A: All I can say is that above my knee is just under 20", fits fine.
