Since this is battery-powered I didn't need a plug. It is pretty and light enough to easily sit on the tree but the battery box adds weight and is too heavy to just sit it in the tree. My son zip-tied the cord and battery box to the tree and that worked really well. We'll be able to access it to change the batteries as needed and can take the star off and tuck it into the tree for storage.There are multiple light colors and they flash in a variety of patterns. It's pretty but you can't adjust the speed of the patterns. It might have been nice to slow it down a little, but overall it added a nice look to the tree. ### ⭐⭐⭐ A little obnoxious *by W***M on Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2019* Some of the light patterns are good while some are just obnoxious. Wish there were a way to stop it on one light pattern or just have it lit up without changing lights. It cycles through light patterns and it flashes a lot and is super bright. I just ended up leaving it turned off. Like too bright!! Inside it hurts your eyes to look at. So bright it creates an almost strobe light effect off the ceiling and walls around it. Too much for our indoor tree. Would be perfect for an outdoor tree.
