It is shinier, and seems to be higher quality. It is probably a little more weather proof on that side. However, these are fine. For the price they are great! Adhesion: This label tape seems to stick well. I use them to make my drones and such with my name and email, in the advent that I was to loose one. Getting the label apart: These seem a little easier to me to get the label that i have printed off the backing paper. There is a line down the middle and you slighly bend the labels in half length wise to get the adhesive part off the backing paper. I don't think that original label tape had this feature. Summary: I like them, and they work fine for me. Yes, I think the original brother label tape was a little higher quality, but these are cheaper, and make a great replacement!
