Who doesn't need one? The first year I helped decorate for a local church's VBS, we had some people who were a little overzealous with the staples. Folks had a terrible time getting them out of the wall. Except for those of us with Leathermans. Soon enough, if we weren't on staple duty, whoever was knew to borrow the multi-tool. That's just one of many instances this tool has earned its keep. I just can't say enough about Leatherman - both this tool and the company as a whole. Leatherman consistently makes high-quality products and provides great customer service. In the many years I've owned a Leatherman, I've had only one issue, but it wasn't really a problem since Leatherman replaced the struggling tool without any hassle. Between the fine craftmanship and the excellent customer service, I highly recommend Leatherman Multi-Tools to everyone. The Micra fits in my purse and this Sidekick is worth the extra weight on my belt. The variety of tools on the Sidekick is excellent. Between the pliers, knives, can opener, and screwdrivers, there's not much this tool can't do for you. Obviously you won't be building a house with it, but it'll keep you going around town and around the house for simple fixes. The only thing it lacks is a pair of scissors - but the Micra's got that covered. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall this model of the Leatherman is quite useful. It's got most everything I need every day ... *by B***0 on August 22, 2017* Overall this model of the Leatherman is quite useful. It's got most everything I need every day and not much I don't use. Two knives, needle nose, file, etc. It's compact and well made. The tools aren't sloppy and have a positive lock when when deployed. The pliers are spring loaded which is super convenient. I have not found a good use for the caribeaner that comes with it yet, but it's kind of cool. The sheath is nice, its like a neoprene on the inside so the tool doesn't snag going in or out in any direction. The sheath also has a really wide loop so it'll fit on alot of belts and still be able to slide freely, see pic. The pocket clip is also a more handy option that i'd thought before, for those times you're not wearing a belt or just don't want to sheath it.Few things I don't like, the #2 phillips tip is flat unlike a standard screw driver, see pic. It's easy to strip out screws with, and the tip has twisted very easily, again see pic. I would like to see this model with the replaceable tips like the higher end models. The flat blade screw driver tips, one large which is a touch too fat for most flat screws I encounter and the small flat blade is easily over tasked and will break easily, trust me. Lastly, the center section of the pliers is not sharpened for cutting, it's more like two blunt wedges and if you try to cut something ie zip tie, wire, cording, etc, it's more of a pressure break than a cutting action.All in all this is a very handy tool that I find myself using everyday. It's easy to wear and ergonomically well designed. If I buy another one i'll likely get a different model and keep this one in a vehicle. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy, useful... 10/10! *by D***. on June 30, 2016* The Leatherman Sidekick is an awesome multitool! I received it right on time and it was ready to use straight out of the box. I put it through a few simple tests (whittling, cutting sticks etc.) to make sure it was working correctly, and boy did it perform! All the tools are great quality and it is very sturdy overall. After carrying it around for about an hour, it has already come in handy. My brother and I were recording a new song if ours in a park nearby when the pick guard on my mandolin started buzzing and messing up the sound. We would've had to deal with that God-awful noise the whole time, but luckily I had my trusty sidekick and fixed it then and there! I can safely say that if the Sidekick can be useful and prove itself indispensable within the first hour of owning it, it will surely be a great investment for many years to come.
