It is thin, but it is able to hold a heavy monitor and laptop, I just would try to avoid bumping into it or anything. But it serves its purpose and I don’t feel like it’s going to topple over! But I added some cheap plastic risers to my couch (like the kind you use to make a dorm room bed into a storage loft bed), and now the height isn't really a problem. I still wish I could lower the height a bit, but that's probably because I like to lounge like a couch potato while I'm on the computer. :)I'm loving all the room, and the extra shelf to get drinks, remotes, phones, etc. out of the way. I can easily use a standard laptop with enough extra space for a dinner plate and drink. It's light enough to move around easily with no wheels. My last "mobile desk" had the casters bend, and I suffered through a wobbly workspace for two years before getting this one.Also, it genuinely does fold totally flat in like 3 seconds, so I can slide it behind the couch. I do wish it had come with directions on how to fold and unfold, but it only took a minute to figure out. It comes pre-assembled which is awesome. It would be great if it came in a few other finishes (like darker wood) but overall it has clean lines and isn't an eyesore.
