Are these typically universal and will they fit any track or only specific ones? Please help.** A: They are pretty much universal. The plastic piece that fits into the track has a flat edge at the top. That allows you to insert it into the channel by tilting it into place. The original slides are completely round and are extremely hard to remove unless they are broken ;sometimes not even then). I have not found a rod yet these slides will not fit. **Q: My track has an opening of about 1/4 inch, and the neck of the slider slightly less. Would these work for me? What is the diameter of the neck? thx** A: The neck of the slider has two dimensions. The part which glides on the edge of the rod is 0.271 inches (This part of the glide is the load bearing part). The part which fits in the slot (vertical height of the slot) has a dimension of 0.195 inches. This item will work for you. **Q: The ones I'm trying to replace are only 1 and 5/16 long. It says that these are 3 inches long and 3 inches wide. Is that truly their dimensions?** A: I think that is the package size. The actual slide is less the 1/2" wide and about 1 1/4" long.
