If you ever have visited Japan or fell in love with its architecture via movies or television, you owe it to yourself to get this book.We plan on building our next home and wanted to go in a modern/Japanese look. There are many resources out there for modern homes but very few done as well as this book for Japanese homes. The subtle details and construction techniques presented in here are vital for a designer to see as they develop a design.The photographs are very endearing and present the Japanese home in such a way as to make this book more than just a guide. It also makes for a great coffee table book.If you are into architecture of any type you shouldn't pass this book up for your library.Highly recommended!Thank you for reading my review.

Compre este libro para conocer mas de la cultura japonesa en el recinto mas sagrado para una persona, su hogar. La cultura japonesa es sumamente rica tanto en belleza como en practicidad y este libro me ha servido para idear refugios dentro de mi casa y asi evitar la rutina diaria y todo lo "fast" que la vida occidental tiene. Recomiendo mucho este libro para aquellas personas que quieran hacer de su casa un lugar equilibrado, que esten planeando alguna reconstruccion o hacer una casa nueva.

Another nice book full of photos to enjoy looking at Japanese traditional culture, taking one type of house at a time.Looking at the photos inspires ideas for your own twist of creating a little corner of Japanese Style.

Very well written and comprehensive.

This is a beautiful book, instructive in every way. People who watch HGTV should turn these pages to learn what high design really looks like, then give up on TV.

I'll keep this simple, this book and the photographs contained within is an absolute time sink. I love this book, it's probably my favorite coffee table book of all time.
