They are slightly thinner than other planks on the market however, reusing a plank is not ideal. You're not going to get that same cedar aroma from the used plank. Cleaning the used plank, which involves sanding off the char, is simply not worth the time and effort. I do suggest soaking the planks overnight rather than just a few hours before grilling.
