It has a very wide panal for the top of the skirt. I wanted to fold it over but I was concerned that it would mess up the integrity of the elastic waist holding the skirt up. I think I ordered it a little big. It does have pockets and they did hold my phone and keys well. I wore it often, so the pocket did start to get a small hole from me constantly putting my keys in. I like this skirt and the color. I do wish the waistband was a wider elastic that was tighter so I wouldnt worry about it being pulled down by pocket weight.. I was contemplating tightening it myself. I think if I had ordered a size down, I wouldnt have worried about it.
