I got it for a Christmas present for my 7 year old daughter. She is very bright so I was not concerned about her ability to follow along with instructions. I put together the crawler for her... yeah that was some work. For those who decide to purchase this.. I highly recommend looking at the final picture rather than the step by step on how to build it. The final picture was by far more useful than anything else. Once put together... my daughter took it from there. She put the plane together by herself and has so far (over the course of one weekend) built about 15 of the instructed circuits. She gets so excited each time. While several of the circuits are motion related they do have a few for sound, and lights.. so I feel this is very well rounded. This was such a success I will definitely be purchasing the snap circuit lights so that she will have even more options of what to build out. I am highly amused and appreciative that this toy really teaches kids the mechanics of all their other toys.
