Meets Plainville Farms' humane policy for raising turkeys in a stress free environment. Preparation Instructions: Allow one pound of turkey per person. Cooking time is approximately 12-15 minutes per pound. A whole turkey is safe cooked to a minimum internal temperature of 165 °F (73.9 °C) throughout the bird as measured with a food thermometer. Check the internal temperature in the innermost part of the thigh and wing and the thickest part of the breast. Freshness: In order to preserve freshness, temperatures are maintained slightly above 26 degrees. While you may find the bird has a thin crust on the surface, the inside is not frozen.
