They seems sturdy enough, and the sticky pads that come attached to the locks stick really, really well. I much prefer the sticky pads to screws as they're so much easier to install than having to faff around with screws. However, these locks do have screw holes and come supplied with screws if you want the extra security. Primarily I wanted to keep a toddler out of the medicine drawer, but I have them on several drawers and cupboards, and these are working perfectly. It's easy enough for me to open things, but my kid hasn't figured them out (yet!)
