Even so, I stuck with my cheap every dayshoes until I was forced to wear a special medical boot after suffering the worst case of planter fasciitis I’d ever had. I could’t walk without excruciating pain and I was sure I had a stress fracture. X-rays revealed I did not.But I did need treatment and I needed appropriate shoes. Before seeing the doctor, I’d borrowed my husband’s Haflingers and they were the only shoes that eased my pain at all. So I bought a pair, took them with me to my doctor’s appointment and got the nod of approval.
