It's got fuzz factory style craziness but a lot easier to tame, can almost get a weird glitchy clav sound out of it, very cool pedal, and of course a very respectable straight up fuzz, but I would imagine if you're not looking for crazy with your fuzz, there are better and cheaper options for just straight up fuzz, but for fuzz + crazy, this is a great option! ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Tried and returned *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 3, 2014* I wanted to like this pedal... I really did. But it didn't sound any better than my (much much cheaper) sovtek big muff, and honestly, adding a button on the right that does nothing but create horrific feedback seems like a waste of pedal space, waste of a button that could have been used for something much better like overdrive or a second fuzz channel... I have a Black Cat OD/Fuzz that gives me two buttons with two very usable sounds that work great individually or together. I also found a used Hoof Reaper by Earthquaker Devices that is now one of my favorites... Two different fuzz pedals that both sound AMAZING individually (can't make a bad sound with either) and work GREAT together... as well as a third button in the middle for the octavia effect. Redwitch, you know people have complained about the feedback-y aspect of that lightning bolt button... it feels like you took a mistake and called it a "feature". It's not... for the .02% of people that will find a creative way to make use of that, there are 99.8% that would probably love something like the hoof reaper. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Not my cup of tea...too noisy and uncontrollable. *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2014* After lots of time spent checking out various demos, I settled on this pedal because of it's apparent versatility. I wanted to achieve a blues fuzz tone as well as a crazy lead fuzz tone (Smashing Pumpkins or QOTSA). After purchasing and playing this pedal however, I am finding many of these sounds not quite achievable.I was able to find a pretty good blues tone with my strat and Epiphone Valve Jr amp, but aside from that...not so much. The main reason I bought this pedal was for it's crazy sounds. While it does do crazy sounds, they are pretty much useless in my opinion due to the overwhelming amount of high pitched squeal that remains when ever the lightning switch is pressed (the bottom right foot switch).I also wanted to be able to find that Jack White sputter sound, but I found that impossible to achieve as well. When you get close to the sound, it breaks up into a sea of crackles or no sound appears at all. It's a very finicky knob. Trying to get rid of the squeal is also a finicky thing where you end up sacrificing your sound to get rid of the ear bleed.It's not that this is a bad pedal, it's just very uncontrollable. I think it has a nice crunchy cut that a lot of fuzz pedals are lacking, but for the price, I would go with something else. I just bought the Musket and am also having issues with it not cutting through like I'd like. Maybe the Blunderbuss was a wiser choice. I don't know...I may keep the RedWich around for a bit and see if I can tame it.
