Review: Mounting a Uniweld Flow Meter plumb - Product works great with Uniweld purging flow during HVAC brazing. There is some feedback about not being able to mount the flow meter plumb, so I have included a picture. I used a 45 degree 1/4 brass Street Elbow after removing the flare fitting that comes with unit. These are available on desertcart. I remounted the flare nut on the 45 Street Elbow. It works out nice. I am able to tilt the gauges on the regulator up for easy reading and unit is plumb for accurate flow measurement. I used a wood working vise to hold the regulator while removing the output flare connection. Be careful not to damage the regulator. For fitting sealing, I have found it useful to split 1/2 Teflon tape in middle using a single edge razor blade giving you 1/4 inch width. Always wrap tape on fitting in direction of the thread using 3-4 wraps. Don't over tighten the fittings. My background is Test and Measurement and I have done design work in gas mixing systems. Review: FYI, max outlet pressure is only 200psi. - Seems to be a solid unit, especially for the price. Unfortunately for me, it has a maximum outlet pressure of 200 psi. For most HVAC or Automotive applications, this is probably fine. For me, I need my nitrogen supply for charging the gas shocks in my offroading rig, and 200 psi is not enough to do that.
