Firstly, in my experience, this kit went together easily, installed without effort and had a clear and concise description of the additional parts needed and provided an excellent video on their website going over installation and adjustment. I'm not saying that tracking doesn't take a little time to get correct, because it does, but as someone who builds a lot of his own equipment for his shop I can tell you that building something like this takes a lot of planning and forethought to get right. The value of this kit is in time saved, when I calculate what it would cost for me to take time out of my day to make something like this it becomes obvious. I've been a blade smith for 24 years, full-time for the past 12 years - the time I spend on "fun projects" is money lost that I could have been making. That being said, I have four other 2"x72" grinders in the shop so I'm well versed in all the subtle nuances that each unit, even ones manufactured by the same company, can and do have. All in all, this unit takes a very capable two wheeled unit by Grizzly and expands its potential! Having another grinder in the shop with a 2" radius wheel saves time in changing belts, the extended arm holding the t-plate and platen make it more comfortable to use; no more standing with my belly right up to the work bench! I often use the bottom wheel of this mod for woodwork - much more accessible compared to the stock 8" drive wheel. My advice, be patient when adjusting, think through any problems you may have before adjusting four different things at once and use quality belts. Cheap paper backed, low-grit belts and even low-end cloth belts are often saturated in glue making them overly stiff and, in some cases, not bound together precisely - you can barely get them to track half-assed on a $2000 KMG - this kit is no different. I've also talked to the staff over at Hell's Kitchen Tools and found them to be both accessible and respective of their customers needs. Bottom line, if you're looking expand what you can do with your existing G1015 or looking for a new 4 wheel grinder set up, give this kit a try! It will however work on nearly any machine, it is a relatively simple installation for Grizzly machines, it only required a couple of easy modifications for me to make it work on a 60’s era Baldor buffer. There is a video on you tube and one in there site that did not help make it work for me, you need see it run of do any grinding. I finally got it working but the tracking is poor it will work but not eazy.
