I'll take some measurements with a scale and get you some info.I'm not sure what it's limit is, length or load, but I can guess for you. I was an engineer before retiring, so the formula for springs is F(lbs) = K(lbs/in) x D (in) F= force in lbs, K= spring constant in lbs/in and D=deflection in inches. You can find either F or D once you have the spring constant K and one other variable.Length NO load=11" eye to eyeLength with 20#s 13" or 2" of stretchLength with 40#s 15" or 4" of stretchLength with 60#s 17" or 6" of stretchLength with 100#s 22" or 11" stretchThese all come out to a K factor of basically 10lbs/in of deflection.At 100#s, it seemed fine, but you're at 2X no load length. The length of the spring in the middle is 8 inches. **Q: What is the max extension for this unit?** A: Ours is extending around 4 to 5 inches, and has been used everyday for months.
